I don’t feel like it

How many times have you told yourself “I don’t feel like doing XX” – whatever that “XX” is?

One way of looking at it is – sure, don’t do it. If you don’t feel like doing it, then don’t.

Another way – when you don’t FEEL like doing something, that’s indication you MUST!

 

This showed up for me a couple days ago. Mrs. C was organizing things in the basement and my workout area became an overflow of boxes, items to be donated, things to be thrown out and some of my old stuff.

I had also finished a coaching conversation with someone so my day ended later than usual.

When I realized that I couldn’t workout in the basement like I normally would and that outdoor training was likely the next option, a BIG part of me thought “nahh I don’t feel like it.” To interrupt that thought pattern, I took it one step at a time … picked up some equipment … took it out to the back yard … filled up water bottle … grabbed my headphones and towel.

Before I knew it, I was outside getting started … and little did I know … someone was creeping on me LOL

It was meant to be

This gem was sitting amongst some of my old things in the basement.

Looks like seeds were planted 10-15 years ago.

I sat .. starring at the book .. in complete awe … thinking “no way, really?” … yelling over to my wife “LOOK LOOK LOOK.”

A pretty cool full circle moment!
