Who here talks to themselves?
I do – and it’s completely normal. Well, that’s what “they” say anyways 🙂.
I recorded a video recently about guarding your self-talk. You can check it out in the Conquer Leadership Facebook group. I don’t have a YouTube channel with all my videos, yet. So the only place I post videos is in the private Facebook group.
But to summarize – One of the most important people you listen to/should listen to is you. So what are you telling yourself?
This is where affirmations play an important role – to help you break out of your shell and towards a new version of you. Consider adding affirmations into your daily discipline.

Raise your internal bar
One thing that impacts self-talk is self-image, self-worth, or self-identity.
You will NEVER be able to outperform your self-image, self-worth, or self-identity. Whatever that is, you will always find a way to stay close to that ‘internal bar’. This becomes a problem when your internal bar stays fixed or doesn’t change.
But there’s a way to raise your internal bar .. to improve and strengthen your self image, identity and worth… permanently. That takes time, energy and intentional effort EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Do check out the video in the Facebook group, because there’s a lot of value you’ll get from it. I talk through:
- Stacking your wins
- Daily discipline
- Imposter syndrome
Let’s hold ourselves to a higher standard so that we can collectively raise that community bar. If you need a talking partner, a thinking partner, an accountability partner to bounce ideas around with on how to move towards a new self-image, self-worth, or self-identity. —> I’m available 🙂.
